'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane reduces on Premier League homecoming

Kane marks his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has stated that his enthusiasm in going back to the Premier League has faded and he is willing to negotiate a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is currently halfway through the four-year deal he inked when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the transfer window of 2023.

The 32-year-old forward has netted an outstanding 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German team, helping them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which was the first important achievement of his notable career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has recently mentioned that he would welcome to see Kane return to England, where he requires 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring record of 260.

However, the England skipper has now clarified that he is no longer as enthusiastic about coming back home as he once was, and would seriously consider extending his stay in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could absolutely see that," he remarked.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be open to talk and have an straightforward conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so unfolds and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not focusing about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."

Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top scorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the speediest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five leagues, securing the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a trophy had avoided him until he secured the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would feel after overcoming his trophy barren spell, but now thinks it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Future Prospects

  • Ongoing success with Bayern Munich is Kane's main focus
  • The possibility of a Premier League return has noticeably decreased
  • New contract talks could start in the coming future
  • Kane's exceptional goal-scoring form continues to amaze
